More about LOAD

What services do you offer?

London Organising And Decluttering offers a comprehensive range of organising and decluttering services for busy Londoners.  Please see the services tab for more details and testimonials.  I do not provide a cleaning service, moving service, repair service or sell items.

How do I get started with your service?

Contact me via email, phone or the web form.  I'll schedule a free 30 minute face-to-face, telephone or online consultation where we can discuss your goals and develop a personalized plan of action based on your needs.

How much does your service cost?

My price is £35 per hour for on-site decluttering and organising. My minimum booking is three hours.  As a good rule of thumb, a room will probably take around 3-6 hours depending on the amount of items to be organised, the size of the space and the level of organisation you are looking for.

What areas do you cover?

I am based in Blackheath and cover Zones 1-6 in South East London, Zones 1-4 in North London and Zones 1-4 in South West London.  I can also provide online coaching and support for those further afield.

Will I need to be involved in the organising process?

Yes, but your level of involvement is up to you. Some clients prefer to be actively involved in the process, while others prefer to delegate the tasks within rules we agree in advance.  An example of a rule might be to get rid of everything in the kitchen which is past its used by date and organise the rest using the existing storage. I can tailor my approach to suit your preferences.

Is it OK that I’m a bit nervous about having someone come into my home and organise my things?

That’s perfectly natural, but please don’t be. Many of my clients have felt nervous or anxious before I started but happy, lighter and relieved once I get started.  I really love organising and tidying.  I’m fully insured, can provide references and will work with you to understand and support your goals.  I am fully insured, a member of the Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers and DBS checked.  You can find testimonials from previous clients here.

Will you make me get rid of things I love?

No.  It is your choice what you get rid of or even whether you get rid of anything. What I can do is help you organise what you choose to keep.  I also have many strategies and approaches to help you decide what you keep and what you let go of.  I understand it is your choice, not mine.

Can you assist with getting rid of unwanted items?

With pleasure! I care about the environment and want to minimise  landfill.  It’s also great to see unwanted items finding a new home.  As part of LOAD’s service I can help you identify items that can be sold, donated, or recycled. I can organise rubbish collection or donation of unwanted items. I can make recommendations on options for selling items, including online sites and auction houses.

My partner/spouse/child/parent/family and I disagree on clutter and organisation.  Can you help?

Definitely! I have experience in working with all different types of people and understand that one size doesn’t always fit all.  I can help families agree their goals find solutions that work for them.  I have experience with neurodivergence, mild hoarding tendencies and people at the early stages of dementia.  Not everyone’s brains work the same – that’s just the way it is.  Please note that some situations may require a more specialised service but I am happy to make recommendations.

How long will the organising and decluttering process take?

The duration depends on various factors, such as the size of the space, the amount of clutter and the complexity of the project.  Please contact me so we can discuss this during the initial consultation and I will keep you informed throughout the process of costs and estimates of time.

Do I need to purchase organising supplies?

I always recommend decluttering and tidying first then purchasing what you need.  LOAD can work with the organising supplies you already have or I can recommend products based on your needs and my experience. However, there is no obligation to purchase anything.

Is my privacy and confidentiality ensured?

Absolutely. I appreciate the trust you are putting in me in letting me into your home.  With 20 years’ experience working in the music and publishing industry, I understand the importance of privacy and maintain strict confidentiality standards.  I will handle sensitive information and belongings with utmost discretion and professionalism.
